Inversion in the Rogue Valley

January 4th, 2011

With the cold weather and lack of weather system to move air through the valley, we are seeing high particulate pollution levels again. Although common this time of year, the low temperatures are also creating increased need for some to burn wood for heat, compounding the problem. Asthmatics and others with chronic respiratory conditions such as COPD should use caution with outdoor exercise for the next few days due to poor air quality and cold temperatures.
